Description:
The St. Lawrence University Center for Civic Engagement along with SLU Chi Omega are helping organize this event for a local girl, Shawna Cummings. Shawna, when only 2 weeks old was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder called MCADD. She was granted a wish to visit Disney World® with her family in 2008 and now wishes to “give back” through this fundraiser. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® to help grant wishes of local children who are diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. The fundraising goal is $6000, which is the amount that would fund one wish.
Raise money as an individual walker, as a team or just give donations. There is no entry fee; however individuals can receive a T-Shirt with a $50 pledge.
Prizes and raffles will also be available as well as fun activities for kids.
