Free Holiday Concert
A free holiday concert by the Merrie Friends quartet will be held Wednesday. Dec. 17, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Potsdam Public Library.
The quartet will play holiday favorites, including Hanukkah and “Early Music” selections.
Merrie Friends is a group of people who enjoy gathering to play music and having fun with it. Currently five of the six members are retired from different careers and all live in the greater-Potsdam area. Instruments vary; but include euphonium, bassoon, flute, piccolo, clarinet, soprano, alto and tenor recorders, lap dulcimer, autoharp, voice, and small percussion.
The performance is free and open to the public, but donations to support the band are always accepted.
