Colton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Announces 2026 Annual Charity Golf Tournament
COLTON, NY — Colton Volunteer Fire and Rescue will host its Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Potsdam Town & Country Club. Tournament play will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM.
The annual event raises vital funds to support local first responders. All proceeds from this year’s tournament will directly fund critical fire-rescue equipment upgrades and advanced medical training for the all-volunteer department.
“Our community relies on our volunteers to step up in emergencies, and this tournament relies on our community to help us keep them equipped,” said Chief Aaron Johnson- Paramedic, of Colton Volunteer Fire and Rescue. “Whether you hit the greens as a golfer or sign up as a business sponsor, your support directly impacts public safety in Colton.”
How to Get Involved:
• Register a Team: Team registration is open to golfers of all skill levels. The entry fee is $340.00 per four-person team and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch, and a tournament T-shirt.
• Become a Hole Sponsor: Local businesses can secure a tee box sponsorship sign for $100.00. The deadline for sponsorship registration is August 17, 2026.
• Donate Prizes: The department is currently seeking item donations for raffle drawings and tournament prizes.
Interested golfers, sponsors, and donors can request registration forms or find more information by contacting the tournament committee at 225-993-1460 / 315-244-0649 or via email at Melissa.Moore@Coltonfire.org or Bsmith@slelectric.com.
