Prescott Light Up The Night

72nd Annual Light Up the Night Christmas Parade presented by the Prescott Fire Association

– parade will begin at 7pm from SGDHS, proceed south on Edward St. to King St., then west through town.
– no pre-registration for floats and no cost. Floats are encouraged to to show up at South Grenville DHS starting at 6pm
– floats are encouraged to have lots of light and music to boost the spirit
– members of the Prescott Fire Department will be collecting monetary donations to support the Spirit of Giving campaign throughout the parade route, and looking to eclipse last year’s total of $2500
– PFD parade committee estimated over 110 entries last year, including representation from 8 different emergency service departments and are encouraging our community to help break that mark, so let’s pack the parking lots at South Grenville DHS
– PFD is excited to welcome 6 bands to the parade that will delight the spectators
– the streets are traditionally shoulder to shoulder and many deep as they await the arrival of Santa, with an estimate of over 10K lining the route last year, so let’s hope for great weather and fill the town with Christmas spirit
– look for activities throughout the day and leading up to the parade presented by the Town of Prescott, including a new bleachers section by the clock tower to watch the parade from.

The PFD is extremely excited to kick off the Christmas season and is busy preparing and looking forward to seeing lots of smiles and Christmas spirit as we welcome Santa to the Fort Town!
