St. Mary’s 150th Anniversary

St. Mary’s Church, 66 Church St., will celebrate its 150th anniversary with a day of free community activities. Carnival games, inflatables, reptiles, a fire truck, popcorn and funnel cakes will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Powers Street. A Mass celebrated by Bishop Terry R. LaValley begins at 4 p.m., followed by an outdoor procession at 5 p.m. A free picnic starts at 5:30 p.m. on the church lawn, with burgers, Italian sausages, salad, chips, lemonade and ice cream. The Canton Goldenaires Barbershop Quartet will perform at 6 p.m.
