DESCRIPTION:GardenShare is excited to bring Winter Farmers Markets to St. Lawrence County this month! Purchase vegetables or baked goods for your holiday tables\, stock your pantry\, try something new (like mushrooms from AHA Mushrooms!)\, and maybe pick up a gift or two for someone special during these wonderful opportunities to support our local producers. \nIf shoppers have SNAP funds available\, GardenShare will be continuing to match up to $50 per day through the Double Up Food Bucks program. We will also have gift tokens available for shoppers with credit/debit cards. The Winter Farmers Markets in Canton will be held on November 21 and December 19 from 10am-2pm at the First Presbyterian Church on Park St. in Canton. DESCRIPTION:72nd Annual Light Up the Night Christmas Parade presented by the Prescott Fire Association \n– parade will begin at 7pm from SGDHS\, proceed south on Edward St. to King St.\, then west through town.\n– no pre-registration for floats and no cost. Floats are encouraged to to show up at South Grenville DHS starting at 6pm\n– floats are encouraged to have lots of light and music to boost the spirit\n– members of the Prescott Fire Department will be collecting monetary donations to support the Spirit of Giving campaign throughout the parade route\, and looking to eclipse last year’s total of $2500\n– PFD parade committee estimated over 110 entries last year\, including representation from 8 different emergency service departments and are encouraging our community to help break that mark\, so let’s pack the parking lots at South Grenville DHS\n– PFD is excited to welcome 6 bands to the parade that will delight the spectators\n– the streets are traditionally shoulder to shoulder and many deep as they await the arrival of Santa\, with an estimate of over 10K lining the route last year\, so let’s hope for great weather and fill the town with Christmas spirit\n– look for activities throughout the day and leading up to the parade presented by the Town of Prescott\, including a new bleachers section by the clock tower to watch the parade from.\n– 2025 Parade Marshall will be Paddy Lawless \nThe PFD is extremely excited to kick off the Christmas season and is busy preparing and looking forward to seeing lots of smiles and Christmas spirit as we welcome Santa to the Fort Town!
