day of butterfly science and art

Join the North Country Children’s Museum for a day of butterfly science and art on Saturday, August 17th. Science educators from Paul Smith’s College VIC will be at the Children’s Museum with live butterflies, chrysalis, and caterpillars so that visitors can learn about this fascinating metamorphosis. Science educators will lead visitors in butterfly songs, making butterfly crafts, playing butterfly games, and learning to tag monarchs on their way south to Mexico. The program is included with the cost of museum admission and membership. No need to preregister. Program runs from 11am -12pm and repeats from 2pm-3pm.
The Children’s Museum is located at 10 Raymond Street in downtown Potsdam. The museum is geared for children ages 12 and under and their families. Visit the museum’s website for more information:
